Caesar IV is probably the most popular construction game saga ever in videogaming, even beating Sim City. This is the fourth part in the saga, set in Roman times, as you all know. You play the part of the governor of one of the Imperial provinces. You have to try and climb the Roman political ladder until you become Caesar himself. For this you already know what to do: build, control, manage, in a word make your province prosper. To do this you should concentrate on three main areas: urbanism, finance and defence.



If you do things right, you´ll gain high level missions for your province but only the best get to the gates of Rome, the Imperial capital. Both the conception and the possibilities (almost infinite) and the careful graphics of Caesar IV make it the best game within the subgenere of "city building". Abstain peasants!
